Gabrielle Solomon is director of editorial content strategy with CNN Digital, focusing primarily on business, technology, travel and style verticals. She dreams up editorial series and specials that can generate big audience and revenues, working closely with the business side to create opportunities advertisers want.
Previously, Solomon was assistant managing editor at CNNMoney (now CNN Business), where she led and created the editorial vision for high-traffic specials, transforming lists like Best Jobs in America, Best Places to Live and the Fortune 500 into vibrant, engaging digital products. She also oversaw personal finance, luxury, careers and small business coverage. In addition, Solomon served as editor of Fortune.com at Time Inc., and worked at Dow Jones & Co. where she edited three books on career issues.
Solomon has been bestowed numerous awards, including Min Best of the Web Award-Microsite/Custom Website, Best in Business Journalism Award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, Creative Use Across Multiple Platforms for CNNMoney’s Best Places to Live list, Creative Use of Online for CNNMoney’s Best Places to Live list, and the National Headliners Award (1st place) for CNNMoney’s Best Places to Live list.
Solomon has a combined BSJ/MSJ in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She also writes comedy.
