Behavioural Innovation Researcher & Strategist, RMIT University
Hardik Bhimani is an internationally acclaimed behavioural innovation researcher and behavioural strategist, examining the interaction between human psychology and innovation. He is best known for developing The Open Innovation Game (OIG), an instrument that helps managers understand the human-side of their firm’s innovation processes.
Hardik is also a co-author and contributor of multiple large-scale EU H2020 funding proposals, including a recent one which received €2.5 Million. Hardik’s work has been recognised through ‘Best PhD project’ award at the 2018 R&D Management Conference (Milan) and ‘Best Paper’ at the 2018 World Open Innovation Conference (San Francisco).
A learner for life, Hardik has qualifications and experience in information technology, psychology, applied finance, strategic management, and he is reading for his PhD in Behavioural Innovation. This multi-disciplinary knowledge and a practice-oriented approach to teaching has won him multiple ‘Good Teaching’ awards at RMIT University, where Hardik also leads the Behavioural Innovation Research and Design Society (BIRDS) and the Gamified Research Translation (GREAT) project. This year, Hardik is working on finishing his co-edited book on Psychological Perspectives in Open Innovation.
