Senior Director of Strategy & Business Development, Viacom
Alex is currently a Senior Director of Strategy and Business Development at Viacom International Media Networks, whose over 250 owned and operated networks deliver more than 10 unique media brands to nearly 4 billion cumulative subscribers around the world. At Viacom, Alex advises on strategies to scale the international networks portfolio (including the international roll-outs of the Paramount Channel and the Spike Network) as well as on international M&A opportunities, multi-platform distribution, content investment, partnerships, and operational initiatives.
Alex previously worked in Strategy and Business Development for Miramax, helping guide the company in its transition back to producing original films and TV series. Alex began his career at NERA Economic Consulting (now part of Oliver Wyman Group) where he advised clients on economic considerations surrounding the litigation of intellectual property.
Alex received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School and received a B.A. in Economics from Vassar College. As an impressionist and former amateur stand-up comedian, Alex has long been interested in media and entertainment. His other interests include modern and contemporary art, music, and tennis.
