President & Chief Strategy Officer, Havas
Tim is the Chief Strategy Officer for Havas North America and President of Havas New York, an integrated agency of four hundred talented individuals working across advertising, media, customer experience, loyalty, innovation and brand identity.
A former head of strategic planning for Ogilvy, Tim was managing director for the launch of the consulting-led agency Heat+Deloitte, followed by a stint at R/GA as executive director of brand strategy before joining Havas in his current role.
At a time when companies are struggling to integrate their marketing efforts with their customer experience and product pipeline by working with multiple agencies and consulting partners, Tim is known for building agile teams of hybrid talent that can be reconfigured as clients’ needs change. A hybrid himself, Tim has worked as a copywriter, account lead, strategist and consultant over the course of his career, collaborating with clients across every major category.
Tim is also the bestselling author of four award-winning novels, which is probably why he believes companies should take a narrative approach to designing their customer experiences, if they expect anyone to care about their brands. His comedic thriller JUMP was called “a perfectly blended cocktail of escapism” by Publishers Weekly, and his fifth novel will be released this October.
Tim is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Columbia University, where he also served as an adjunct professor of consumer behavior. He lives and works in New York City.
