SVP, Global Business Strategy Specialist, Northern Trust
Shaelyn Otikor is a Senior Vice President and Global Strategy Specialist in the Corporate & Institutional (C&IS) business unit at Northern Trust, Chicago. She is responsible for leading the business unit’s international workforce strategy related to diversity and inclusion, talent management, employee engagement, location strategy, and digital technology tools.
Shaelyn started at Northern Trust in 1996 as a high school intern. During her 22-year career she has held ten roles across multiple business units including two relocation assignments to London (she holds both UK and US nationalities.) Her experience includes fund administration, custody, project management, corporate social responsibility, and European financial regulation post-economic crisis.
Shaelyn obtained her B.A., with a focus in International Project Management, from DePaul University in Chicago and holds a
Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate. While obtaining her M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth
School of Business, she was President of Booth’s Graduate Women in Business (GWB) student group and was instrumental
in the creation of the Booth Women Connect Conference. She was also Co-Chair of the African-American MBA Association
(AAMBA) and functioned as a Student Representative on the Admissions Committees.
