Director, Strategic Planning, Macquarie University
In the last 20 years I have worked widely in Strategic planning and information enabling organisations to accelerate the achievement of common goals, releasing operating efficiencies to support sustainable growth and financial performance. Currently I am in the position of Strategic Planning & Information Director at Macquarie University, Sydney, where we assist the University to remain at the forefront of academic and research excellence in Australia. This work has involved the development of a 10 year strategic white paper called the Framing of Futures and its associated Research and Learning Teaching Strategies. At the University I also manage the analytics team, the corporate records functions and right to information. I also have helped establish two courses Business Analytics Program and the Master of Data Science. In 2011 my team at Macquarie won a Global award with Ventana Research for Location Intelligence and in Australia the team won the “Excellence in Business Intelligence Award” Peoples award.
