CEO & Founder, Silibrain

I am originally from Guatemala City, in Guatemala but I have traveled extensively through my life, living for some time in Germany and completing most of my education in the United States for which I consider myself a truly global citizen. Thus I speak Spanish, English, and German, as well as other programming languages, such as Python, Javascript, and C# among others, but those are not as useful for when ordering for original food or drinks when traveling.
I went to Penn State for college where I graduated with a major in Energy Business and Finance and minors in Energy Engineering, Mining Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering. I continued my education attending post-graduate courses at Georgetown, INCAE, and a coding Bootcamp at UC Berkeley. I am a fierce believer in continuous education and lifelong learning, for which I have taken more than 6 courses from Harvard Business School online, among other courses from learning platforms such as Udemy and Udacity.
After college I worked for some time in an oil producing company in Belize, doing engineering and finance projects, until going back to Guatemala to help out my family in their businesses. In Guatemala, I have worked in the retail, wholesale, hospitality, and healthcare industries before starting my own entrepreneurial projects. In 2016 I started Luszol which is a Miami based energy company that started out as a solar project installer and has pivoted to a clean-tech energy company developing novel business models to provide value to the people of the Americas.
